About Crawford Farms Concrete and Stone

Hello, I’m Joe Crawford, I own and manage Crawford Farms Concrete and Stone. I do stone and masonry restoration throughout Michigan and also work with concrete. My website is where I share some of my projects, photos, tips and advice about stone masonry and concrete projects. I enjoy working with stone and concrete and have almost 20 years of experience in the field. The masonry industry was the first industry I started a business in during my early twenties. My company, at it’s peak, had over 35 workmen in the field including myself and did almost $3,000,000 in revenue. I’ve poured hundreds of thousands of yards of concrete in various projects and worked with natural stone all across Michigan. I’ve done some cultured stone, which is a great do it yourself application of masonry, but prefer working with real field stone and concrete.

We do a lot of stone foundation repair, most of which are older farmhouse basements or barn foundations. I’ve also done some really cool work with natural quarry stone on things like entryways, showers and fireplaces. One of the most valuable assets I can bring to your project is a cost effective solution that address your current issue and heads of problems in the future. I’ve worked with dozens of engineers on various commercial and residential projects and understand how to implement long lasting solutions to masonry problems and challenges.

In 2006 I decided to go in a different direction with the commercial concrete company, but I missed working with my hands so I continued doing projects that seemed interesting to me. Most of the projects I take on today are in some way related to working with real stone. We do a lot of stone foundation restoration on old Michigan basements and big red barns. Today I am also an organic produce farmer. I own and operate a couple open air farm markets and manage a successful CSA program. Most of the foundation repair, stone work and concrete projects I do are done in the winter and early spring months, but I do make exceptions. My prices are refreshingly affordable, I have little to no overhead and provide a high quality finished product.
